Mihnea Virgolici
Owner of Cross-Country Farm. Engineer in animal science. Had a “glorious” start in horsebusiness in 1993 in Bucharest, using the family kitchen as a stable. 2002 bought an old hops farm in Transylvania and changed this to the charming Cross-Country Farm. Nowadays happily working on the farm and sometimes also as judge referee at international competitions as for instance at the Olympics in Athens 2004.
Jenny Ahlroth
Assistant Manager/Horse trainer/Equine Sport Massage Therapist: Comes from Finland and has been part of the cross-country team since 2008. After 10 years of serving passengers in the sky she landed in Transylvania. Nowadays staying most of the time horseback, riding out with clients, training young horses and doing the practical field work for the Monty Roberts studies.
“Tanti”
The “secret weapon” of Cross-Country Farm, she is the master of flavours and makes excelent tasty food. She used to be a professional cook in a restaurant and is now enjoying her pension days in our company. She is the “grandmother” of the farm.
“ Cowboy”
… as he likes to introduce himself. Probably one of the most relaxed persons on this planet. In theory he is in charge of stable activities but in fact we appreciate his unique charm that gives a lot of the “local flavour”. Even as he can not speak a great deal of English he has no problem to communicate all day long with everybody…
